The 88 Mitsubishi Montero Sport does not handle the greatest from the factory. They are actually pretty sloppy driving cars. Especially if you put a load on them. I struggled with this problem for a little while with my 95, in hopes of getting a bigger truck. But with cash being tight right now, I knew I wouldn’t be getting a new truck anytime soon, so I looked for another solution. Likely I stumbled upon a promising option. It is a kit that will make your suspension active. It puts tension on the spring, like a shock absorber. So that the spring moves in more of a controlled motion. In return means more stable handling, and less sway. This is a necessity if you want to haul anything with your Montero. I bought mine from this website, as they had the best price, and nicest product. The item shipped promptly, and I was able to install in my garage after work in just one night.
03-08 Hummer H2 Air Suspension Problems
If you have a Hummer H2, I have an interesting kit to tell you about. First off let me explain the problem. H2 Hummers come with a factory air suspension system in the rear. Not a big surprise as Hummer is moving more towards luxury and away from ruggedness. If you want to restore a time tested suspension to the rear of your Hummer and get rid of that air suspension, this kit is for you.
1989-1993 Chrysler Fifth Avenue
The Chrysler Fifth Avenue is a good all around car. Except for one thing: the air suspension components. These parts are unreliable, and are very expensive to repair or replace. I recently repaired two Chrysler Fifth Avenue’s, a 1990 and a 1991. I replaced there air suspension systems with coil spring conversion kits, which eliminate your air system entirely. This solution will save you many hours of air suspension troubleshooting, as well as a lot of money in repairs. Read the rest of this entry
I have a 1998 Buick Century, it is actually my third Century that I have had, I also owned a 1997 and a 2001. They are great cars, and very comfortable. After they have some miles run on them the suspension will begin to get soft and loose. At this point it is time for new struts and maybe new springs. There are a few different options you can go with when it comes to replacing struts with an air suspension conversion.

Buick Century Strut Replacements
I have a 1989 Pontiac Bonneville. I only had it for about 3 months, before it started giving me trouble. Which was not to much of a surprise cause it is a used car. But when I took it to my local dealer for repair, I was shocked. They wanted nearly $1000 to replace two of my air struts which were faulty. Both rear ones went out at the same time. They told me it was a common problem, and that they repaired them quite often. I decided to search for some other options. During my search I found some interesting things that may help you with your air strut problems and info on an air suspension conversion.

I had my 1995 Cadillac Eldorado with a 4.6L Northstar, it was a great car but recently it has been giving me some air bag issues. There are many cadillacs for sale that have broken air suspensions. In a 1994 Eldorado Cadillac, the air bags have been loosing air periodically, and feel soft. I took it to my automobile dealer, but they could not really give me a straight answer of what could be wrong even though they had a similar air bag failure with a 1978 eldorado and a 1990 convertible eldorado.
They said in most cases I was looking at a minimum of $800 to $1200 in repair costs. I thought about fixing it myself or putting up my eldorado for sale, and did some research online for eldorado parts. That only confused me more, cause I really did not know what was wrong with the car. After looking at the suspension specifications, I knew it didn’t have a double wishbone suspension. But I found out that it could be a leaky air bag, a defective air bag, sensor problems, or other issue. I did not feel like spending alot of time and money on the issue, for obvious reasons. While I was searching the net I found a interested in solution that costs less than $400. It is a kit that will simply remove and replace your air bags, with coil springs. Coil springs are much more reliable and simple than air bags.
Luckily I found an air bag defective system shop that had a suspension for sale and now my Cadillac Eldorado works great. If your 1993 Cadillac Eldorado is broken or any of the ’90s Cadillacs (for instance 1997 cadillac suspension conversion), you can find all the parts you need there. You can also find a car suspension diagram and any other things you might need. Just make sure you check out the suspension specs whether you have a hydraulic suspension or a belltech suspension. All suspension cars can use a more reliable and inexpensive coil spring system if you have the air bag system suspension conversion kit. It is definitely worth it in my opinion.

So you like most Fleetwood owners, are having or have had some suspension problems and are looking for the permanent solution for your air bag suspension. Well look no further, now you can replace your air struts with low cost passive non air struts. You can do this in both the front and rear of your vehicle.
My 89 Fleetwood was bottoming out in the rear for months before I finally installed a coil spring conversion kit on it. It was a cheapest and most reliable suspension solution I had. The car rides great, handles great. These Fleetwoods are great cars, with only one major flaw, which is the air struts, but with this kit it makes it an incredibly reliable and comfortable Cadillac. These front and rear coil spring conversion kits are extremely reliable, and safe. You will never have to worry about a problematic air suspension system again. These kits are very affordable as well.

Cadillac Seville Bottoming Out In Rear
What you will be doing is basically eliminating the air compressor. What you will need to do is locate two valve stems. You can cut them off bicycle tubes if needed. You will simply cut the air lines near the rear of your cadillac’s air bags on each side. Then push the airlines into the valve stem, some epoxy or glue might help. Once you have done this allow it to dry, and then fill up your bags to the height you want. You can fill the bags with an air compressor or a manual air pump. This is a good fix, if you are in a jam and don’t have the extra $350 or $400 for a new air compressor.
Cadillac Seville Suspension Conversion
I would not consider this a permanent solution although some people will say it will hold for a long time. A good permanent solution would be to either fork out the cash and repair or replace your air spring or maybe think about investing in a coil spring conversion kit similar to the 1997 cadillac suspension conversion. Coil spring conversion kits cost about as much as a new air compressor, but they would out last a air compressor and many even come with lifetime warranty. There are coil spring conversion kits offered for the front and rear of the vehicle, the kit offered for the front comes with assembled front struts, which makes for a quick and easy install. No messing around with spring compressors!

Lexus Air Suspension Problems
So you need to know how to fix your Lexus LS400 air suspension problem. Well depending on what problem you are experiencing, I might be able to share some cheap fixes, and I’ll tell you about a way to avoid all your air suspension problems, in the future. But first of all what problem are you experiencing? One of the more common problem with these cars, is that your air suspension lowers itself when parked. So that when your park your car for the night, by the time you wake up for work it will be lowered down, but as soon as you start the car, it will raise back up. This is very common and is caused by a leak somewhere in your air suspension. The reason it only happens while your car is parked, is because while its running it is pumping air into your system. Another common problem is the air system can grow soft. Sometimes the car will just remain low or high. Now that you have heard some of the air suspension problems, lets talk about solutions. If your 98 lincoln navigator air suspension is not working, it could be one a few problems. If one corner of your vehicle is not airing up, or is not airing up properly, it could be a sensor not functioning correctly. It could also be the seals on the airbags, if one of your bags will not air up. These seals just wear out overtime. Often these seal problems will start when the vehicle is exposed to cold weather, as the seals begin to contract. This is not a big issue as the seals are only around $20, but it is a hassle to replace them. Read on for more. Read the rest of this entry
